QA Monitoring and Batching Services
We integrated data into our client’s data services hub, which combined public information with private information to present staff with a combined report.
The client needed to integrate incarceration and parole data, from a state agency, into a data services hub to improve eligibility determination and recertification. The client also needed the ability to monitor the data for any changes that might impact benefit eligibility.
Our team integrated incarceration and parole data into the client’s data services hub. Matching was facilitated by combining publicly available data with a restricted version containing the social security number. Data was presented to staff through a combined report. A quality assurance (QA) portfolio within the data services hub utilized a daily extract of information to monitor and ensure the exclusion of individuals incarcerated for more than 30 days.
The Problem
As an extension of this project, our team developed and implemented Portfolio Monitoring and Batching Services that monitored against web service, or flat-file data sources, for specific changes in status. Portfolios could be updated based on dynamically-executed query criteria or driven by systematic batch processes. The monitoring services allowed configuration of both snapshot and change-detection logic, against scheduled periodic watch cycles, and provided timely, triggered alerts through web service interfaces hosted by the client. To accomplish this, our team successfully integrated with an interagency system for routing tasks and information to staff for action. The solution automatically notified staff whenever portfolio monitoring processes identified material changes that might impact eligibility.
The solution also included automated processes designed to measure the quality assurance of staff decisions against policy adherence. QA portfolio monitoring alerted staff to situations that might require case action because policy was not followed, or in which mistakes may have been made. Additionally, our team tracked any benefits that were terminated or reduced because of the monitoring services. That data was provided periodically to the client to meet Federal reporting requirements. An important and valuable feature of the solution was that it could be expanded to incorporate other data sources and/or factors that the client might want to monitor.
